AiM SmartyCam HD Rev 2.1 Video Camera, Wide 84 degree lens

The SmartyCam HD is a solid-state digital video camera that can be used as a stand-alone camera or connected to an AiM data logger or ECU (ECU connection requires an SMC Bridge kit, sold separately) for brilliant videos with data overlay. All of the information from the data logger or ECU can be overlaid on screen and recorded as part of the video footage -- no syncing necessary later.

The SmartyCam HD features a built-in 3-axis accelerometer which can be recorded on screen as part of the video footage. Connect the SmartyCam HD to the GPS09 Module via the SmartyCam/GPS Data Hub (each sold separately), your car's ECU (via SMC Bridge), or an AiM data logger and you can expand the overlay to include information from those sources. GPS receiver, SMC Bridges, and AiM data loggers are all sold separately.

Records up to 1 hour of true HD video (1280 x 720 @ 30 fps) on the included 4GB SD memory card (supports up to 128GB cards). Battery lasts up to 1.5 hours; draws less than 1 amp when connected to vehicle power*. Waterproof for use on open cars, motorcycles, and personal watercraft. The wide-angle (84°) field of view on this camera is ideal for open vehicles (sedans tend to get a lot of roof, floor, and driver in the shot). The built-in forward-facing preview screen makes aiming the camera easy.

Weighs only 8.8 oz (250g) including battery. Measures 3 7/16" wide x 2 1/2" tall x 1 7/8" deep including lens (1 1/8" without). Kit includes SmartyCam HD with a wide-angle lens and internal microphone, battery, CAN cable*, AC charging adapter (North American plug type), USB cable, 4GB SD card. Does not include GPS receiver, SMC Bridge, or mount. Race Studio 3 software is always available as a free download from AiM.

*For stand-alone use, the CAN cable may be modified for direct connection to vehicle DC power.
