Girodisc A1-047 Mitsubishi Evo X Front Slotted 2pc Rotor Set
A1-047
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight high performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. The Girodisc front rotors are approx 17.4lbs vs. 23.5lbs for the stock units. This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.

Description
The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from cast iron to the same specification and material as used by professional racing organizations. It is a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 10 high strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc to our own specifications and cadmium plated for a long lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking actions while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side which allow the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is in place, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.
When used with performance pads and hi-temp fluid, you have what amounts to a truly amazing solution to overheating or warping rotors.

Pad Compounds
Pad Option Compounds:
Ferodo DS2500:
Consistent coefficient of friction (0.42) at all temperatures
Low noise
low dusting
Long pad life
Kind on discs
Race pedal fee
This new generation of friction material is very low in compressibility ensuring a firm pedal, whilst still providing great life for both disc and pad. Combined with low wheel dusting and good noise characteristics this product is the brake pad for the driver who demands the ultimate in track day braking performance.
Performance Friction 01: 01 is one of the most popular race compounds in the PFC's arsenal. Slightly higher bite and torque for the first 2/3's of the stop than 83 compound. At the end of the stop, 01 compound has less torque scatter for improved modulation with excellent release and a flat torque curve. 01 compound is very easy on the discs with very low wear, on par with 83 compounds.
Project Mu HC+800: TEMPERATURE RANGE: 0-800° C (0-1,472°F) FRICTION COEFFICIENT: 0.43-0.58 APPLICATION: Autocross, Track Day, Rally, Performance Driving
HC+800 (HYPER CARBON 800) is a premium Performance Street, Race and Rally brake pad. HC+800 has more bite than both NS and B-Spec and has excellent fade resistance. Capable of operating at temperatures up to 800°c, this pad will handle almost all serious braking conditions. HC+800 is a genuine 'cross over' pad suitable for both road and race. HC+800 is extremely capable in competition environments so use this pad if you are also involved in track day, rally etc. Along with temperature capabilities, HC+800 is renowned as a 'drivers pad' with unmatched driver feel and control.
Carbotech XP10: Carbotech XP10 immediately gathered multiple regional, divisional, and national championships upon its introduction. The XP10 exhibits very strong initial bite friction material with coefficient of friction and rotor friendliness unmatched in the industry. Fade resistance is in excess of 1650F (898C).
Due to the high level of friction and bite, this material is recommended for cars weighing around 2,900lbs or less. XP10 still maintains the highly praised release, excellent modulation and rotor friendliness that have made all Carbotech compounds so successful. Carbotech XP10 is not recommended as a daily-driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise.
Carbotech XP12 Carbotech XP12 is a highly successful XP series compound with an excellent initial bite, torque and fade resistance over and above the XP10 compound. XP12 has temperature range of 250F to 2000F+ (121C to 1093C+) and is very popular with Time Attack drivers.
The XP12 compound has good modulation and is more rotor aggressive than XP10. XP12 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise.
